Curtain Wall & Frame Certifications

CFT created in collaboration with IFT Rosenheim the first standard certification laboratory in Greece. CFT, thanks to the use of IFT Rosenheim booths and meters, is capable of examining windows and panels of up to 9.5 m 2 with regard to the following performance:

Watertightness

Test to determine the watertightness of fully assembled windows and doors of any material.

This test method shall be designed taking into account the conditions of use when the window or door is installed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and the requirements of the relevant European standards and codes of practice.

Resistance to burglary

Test for doors, windows and glass panels, which determines the level of resistance to an attempted burglary at a specific time (period of time a product can withstand), types of violators and procedure.

Vertical load resistance

The test aims to study the behavior of the test body at a vertical load, measuring deformation and examining the general condition of the frame.

Air permeability

Test to determine the permeability of fully assembled windows and doors of any material when subjected to positive or negative test pressures.

Impact with soft & heavy body

Test designed to determine the ability of the test body to absorb shock from a soft and heavy body and to ensure the safety of people in use and to resist forced entry.

Resistance to static torsion

The purpose of the test is to study the behavior of the test body in static torsion, by measuring deformation and by examining the general state of the frame.

Resistance to Wind Pressure

Test to determine the wind resistance of fully assembled windows and doors of any material when subjected to positive or negative test pressures.

Control Forces

The test method for determining the force required when engaging or releasing the material of a window and when moving a window or panel, both in the opening and closing. Applies to manual windows of any material.

Railing Supplies

Test methods for opening-tilt mechanism and opening only.
